Speech recognition for air traffic control radio

SkyHeinz started as an experiment: can a speech recognition model understand real ATC radio, with its noise, speed and phraseology, as reliably as an experienced listener?

We trained our own model on real ATC recordings and transcriptions checked by people. It ran a live transcription service around the clock and later graded spoken radio calls in a training app for student pilots.

The model and the software built around it are available for licensing or purchase. Possible uses include ATC training and simulation, transcription and search of radio traffic, and review of recorded communications.
